YFRESHMAN YEAR WAS REALLY FUN. I GOT TO SPEND TIME WITH MY HOMEGIRLZ AND HOMIES. O N I HOOKED UP WITH CARLOS AROUND NOVEMBER, N DEN WE BROKE UP. AND NOW IM GOING OUT WITH ROBERT SINCE MAY 22. HOPEFULLY WE CAN LAST FORALONG TIME. BUT 2 PUT IT ALL IN 1 THING THE FIRST YEAR OF HIGHSCHOOL WAS GEE. EVEN THOUGH THERE WAS HATERS AT THIS SCHOOL AND I ALMOST GOT INTO A FIGHT TWICEL,THIS YEAR WAS FUNY

TOP NAILS PROJECT

ME N MY PARTNERS DID OUR PROJECT ON TOP NAILS. WELL IT WAS FUN BUT AT THE SAME TIME NOT FUN WORKING ON THIS PROJECT. WELL WE DIDNT FINISH OUR WEBSITE.......MAYBE CUZ WE WERE DISTRACTED. SOMETIMES I WOULD GO ON MYSPACE,BUT I WASNT THE ONLY ONE. WE ENDED UP DOING OUR WORK SORDOF AT THE LAST MINUTE. MARISSA N ME DIDNT MOST OF THE WORK........LIKE I DID THE POWER POINT AND BANNER WHILE SHE DID THE WEBSITE. IDK WHAT JASMINE AND LAURA WERE DOING.......OH LAURA DID THE M.O.U. THINGY-MA-BOB. BUT IN A WAY IT WAS FUN.

1) Iam not sure if we will finish our project because we dont really do anything.
2)Ya our group is working as a team even though we dont really no what to do we are still helping each other.

well i think i did good in math and technology. i did poorly in english. i think i need 2 reed more and pay more attention. i need 2 do more work and really pay attention cuz i get distracted tooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much. 4 realz.

1) What do you think causes the achievement gap?
I think that the kids are causing the achievement gap because they are the ones doing all the work. And they don't try hard enough.

2) What can students do to close the gap?
-The students can start doing their homework.
-Go to better schools.
-Pay attention in class.

3) What can the parents do?
-Send the kids to better schools.
-Ask the kids about their homework.
-Check their backpacks for homework.

4) What can the teachers/schools do?
-They can give tutoring programs.
-They can send papers home with the homework on it and the parents have to sign the paper.
-Have mandatory office hours.

Questions aboutTom Hayden

1)What do you think about Mr. Hayden?
I thought Mr. Hayden was a smart guy. He seemed very cool like the kind of person that could be your granddaddy. I think its cool that he interviewed Malcolm X, MLK, Corky Gonzales, etc.

2)Tom Hayden does not see himself as a civil Rights leader. Do you see him him as one why or why not?
I dont see him as a civil Rights leader because he only interviewed people its not like he interviewed the whole world. He also didnt hav speeches or changed the world. To me hes just a writer.

3)Tom Hayden feels that leaders are not as important as the hundreds or thousands of people behind them. What does he mean by that?
I dont get this question.
